Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is LOW this morning and will increase to MODERATE this afternoon. At the upper elevations very shallow isolated pockets of soft slabs to eight inches in depth exist on steep wind loaded avalanche terrain. These slabs lie on a slick crust and could triggered on steep avalanche starting zones. Wet slab and wet loose avalanche activity will be possible this afternoon on steep snow covered slopes as significant warming occurs, particularly on sunlit slopes.
