Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE. Unstable soft and hard slabs up to forty inches deep exist on a variety of aspects and are sensitive to human triggers. As the day progresses the hazard will increase on sunlit aspects and rising temperatures and sunshine will increase the sensitivity of dangerous slabs on many aspects to human triggers and increase the potential for natural releases. Careful snowpack evaluation, cautious route-finding and conservative decision-making are essential.
