Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Recent snow and wind have deposited surface slabs to two feet in depth in avalanche terrain. These slabs lie on crusts and lighter density snow could be triggered today on steep wind loaded slopes. Yesterday a skier triggered a slab avalanche on a couloir of Lookout Mountain in the Wyoming Range on a East-Southeast slope.
