Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Soft surface slabs to a foot in depth have formed from recent snows in avalanche terrain at the higher elevations. These slabs lie upon a weak snowpack of faceted snow and hard crusts. The potential exists for pockets of these slabs to be triggered by backcountry users today in steep avalanche starting zones.
