Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Slabs to one foot in depth lie on steep wind loaded slopes at higher elevations. These slabs lie on slick crusts, could be triggered today by backcountry users, and once triggered have the potential to pull out deeper weak layers of faceted snow. At lower elevations the avalanche hazard is LOW, however isolated pockets of shallow slabs could be released in steep areas that have been wind loaded.
