Highlights

The general avalanche hazard will be LOW in the early morning hours and increase to MODERATE in the late morning and CONSIDERABLE in the afternoon. Temperatures at 5 AM this morning are 11 to 17 degrees above yesterdays 5 AM readings. Sunshine and warm air aloft will combine to rapidly weaken the snowpack. DANGEROUS wet slides are likely on steep snow covered slopes on a variety of aspects as significant warming occurs.
