Jasper.
Warm temperature inversion expected in the higher elevations. Caution advised on steep solar aspects in the afternoon Wednesday.
Clear skies overnight with light winds. A stronger temperature inversion will set up by Wednesday morning with above freezing temperatures from 1500-2000 metres up to 3500 metres. Three Valley temperatures forecasted to be above freezing for the remaining week.
Previous winds have stripped the snow from all fetch in the alpine and open tree line. Soft snow can still be found in specific sheltered locations at tree line and below. Snow depth at the Bald Hills at tree line is around 80cm with the Nov 4 crust down 50cm and breaking down. The snowpack is supportive to skis.
No new avalanches observed or reported in the region.
