Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE. Strong winds during the week have formed dense slabs to two feet in depth on leeward aspects. These surface slabs could be triggered by humans who venture into steep avalanche starting zones where the recent wind loading has occurred. In isolated areas, a potential for large loads to trigger full depth avalanches may persist. Three snowmobilers were killed by an avalanche yesterday in Indian Creek drainage, an area of the Snake River Range.
