Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE this morning and will quickly increase to HIGH as snow and strong winds continue throughout the day. New surface slabs to three feet in depth will form by the end of the day today that will be easily triggered by backcountry users and may release naturally. Once triggered these slabs could pull out deeper layers of snow that lie upon weak snow layers from earlier in the season. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED TODAY.
