Highlights

The avalanche hazard is MODERATE this morning due to near freezing overnight temperatures and will quickly rise to CONSIDERABLE as warm temperatures and early morning sun heat and weaken the snowpack. Isolated pockets of shallow surface slabs at the higher elevations could be human triggered in steep avalanche starting zones. As warming occurs, loose and wet slides could also be seen at all elevations.
