Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is HIGH today. A foot of new, dense snow with strong winds have combined to create slabs to two feet in depth on lee slopes. The new snow came in on light deNsity snow that sits on smooth crusts. This slippery situation will make slides easily triggered by backcountry travellers or release naturally. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED TODAY.
