Highlights

The general avalanche hazard for mid and upper elevations is CONSIDERABLE today. Deep drifts in starting zones to six feet in depth have been deposited over the last few days. Very sensitive, human triggered avalanches continue to run on the slick early season crust, the ground and within the newer snow. These slides have run on a variety of aspects. Yesterday a skier triggered a slide near Teton Pass on Glory peak that ran within the newer snow. The genmeral avalanche hazard at lower elevations is LOW today but avoid steep areas, road cuts and terrain traps.
