Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE on steep wind loaded terrain above 8,500 feet where pockets of soft slab up to one foot in depth lie upon slick old snow surfaces. Avalanches are unlikely in areas which do not have a hard old snow layer beneath the softer new snow.
