The avalanche danger is Low today. Natural and human-triggered avalanches are unlikely. Shallow wind slabs that developed two days ago may still exist on isolated ridge-top areas but they are likely to be stubborn to triggering. Continue to practice safe travel techniques such as traveling one at a time on steep slopes or runout zones and carrying avalanche rescue gear.

Skies will be clear tonight though scattered clouds will build over the mountains during the day tomorrow. Wind will increase a notch to ten to fifteen mph from the west and northwest. Avalanche danger will remain Low with some wind slabs that were built yesterday possibly lingering at high elevations. The persistent slab problem is very unlikely to be triggered but given the nature of these layers, moving one at a time should continue to be the rule, especially in really steep, northerly terrain.
