Salt River and Wyoming Ranges

It was a few degrees warmer last night than the previous night. Temperatures will rise into the 30's and 40's and there will be periods of sunshine. The wet snow avalanche hazard will increase as the day progresses. Monitor conditions for increasing wet snow hazards and avoid steep slopes if the snow becomes unstable. At the highest elevations it may still be possible to find an isolated pocket of wind slab up to a foot deep. Small slides can be dangerous in cliff areas, steep chutes, and other extreme terrain features. The last scheduled avalanche hazard forecast bulletins of the season will be issued tomorrow morning.

Temperatures will be in the 20’s tonight and in the 30’s on Saturday. Southwest winds will be light to moderate this evening and then increase during the day.The general avalanche hazard will be low. A solid freeze is expected overnight. Cooler temperatures and increasing clouds during the day will help to mitigate the wet snow avalanche hazard.
