Forecast moderate northwest wind on Monday may form new wind slabs on aspects that are generally windward. 3 to 10 cm of forecast snow Sunday night will add to the 10 to 20 cm of recent snow which sits atop a widespread crust.
In general, the crust is strong and supportive to travel below 1900 m. Above 1900 m the crust becomes breakable and tappers out entirely around 2300 m.
The mid and lower snowpack consists of various weak layers primarily made up of crust and facet combinations.
