The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Mostly stable snow exists, however, DANGEROUS deep slabs lie upon a deeply buried old hard snow surface on northerly aspects above 9,000 feet and northerly and easterly aspects above 10,000 feet. These deep slabs could be triggered on steep wind loaded aspects underlain by this crust. On other aspects isolated pockets of slab could be triggered in steep wind loaded starting zones and cliff areas.
