The potential remains for backcountry riders and skiers to trigger slabs to three feet that lie upon a persistent layer of weak faceted snow. Increasing temperatures and sunlight will increase the sensitivity of these slabs as well as provide for the possibility of small wet loose activity in the recently fallen snow.
The chance continues to trigger dangerous slab avalanches on steep slopes. These slabs are likely to be hard and could have depths to three feet at higher elevations. Suspect terrain includes very steep avalanche starting zones and pockets in rocky or cliff areas.

In the Tetons the chance continues to trigger pockets of wind slabs to eighteen inch depths in steep avalanche starting zones and cliff areas. In the Southwest Trails/Greys River area and in the Togwotee Pass area persistent slabs to three feet could be triggered in steep terrain where they are underlain by weak faceted snow.
