Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. New snow and strong winds have created slabs to one foot in depth on lee slopes at higher elevations. Under these slabs still lurk dense slabs to two feet in depth. These avalanches could be triggered today by backcountry users on steep slopes particularly near rocky and cliff areas and have the potential to pull out even older, deep layers of weak snow.
