Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Dense slabs two to five feet in depth lie upon persistant weak layers of faceted snow. These slabs could be triggered on steep slopes and in cliff areas with fatal consequences. Skiers or riders may cross or high mark these unstable slabs multiple times before a weak spot is hit and they release.
