Not as much snow coverage as previous winters. Skiing is still VERY rugged in most areas. We will update the bulletin and bring in the daily danger ratings as soon as it starts to snow significantly. Forecasting teams are monitoring daily.
Summary
Weather Forecast
A series of weather systems will bring snow to the forecast region this week. Totaly snow accumulation amounts at upper elevations could rang from 10 to 20cm by Friday. Daytime high temperatures at valley bottom will stay near 0C. Forecasted upper elevation winds will be at threshold values for snow transport for the beginning of the week.
Snowpack Summary
Very much early season conditions. Roughly 25- 30cm at 2000m increasing to 40-50cm in the alpine. Reports of a supportive crust near ground that provided enough support for skiing above TL at Bow Summit. Expect to find windslab development on lee features in the alpine. .
Avalanche Summary
Nothing recent. Some small avalanches were reported running out of very steep terrain on Oct 29th. No reports or observations since.

Wind Slabs
Moderate to strong wind are forming wind slabs on immediate lee slopes in the alpine. We have very limited information on this avalanche problem but expect there's a potential to trigger small avalanches on specific terrain features.
- Use caution in lee areas in the alpine. Recent storm snow has formed wind slabs.
