The storm that dropped over 20 cm in the Icefields area on Wednesday will slowly clear out by Thursday afternoon. Skiers and boarders should avoid steep loaded slopes to allow this new snow to settle and bond to the snow beneath it.

This layer has not been active for a while now. It has now been loaded by the 20+ cm of new storm snow and continued SW winds. Big slopes that have not yet slide this winter should be avoided.
