Avalanche Summary

Saturday, Nov. 3rd, technicians traveled at TL and into the lower alpine on Parkers Ridge. They found a weak, unsettled snowpack. Whumphing was noted at TL in open tress, on NE aspects. Pockets of windslab, Up to 20cm deep was observed in the alpine with moderate loading expected to continue into the week.

Loaded gully features and a stiffening snowpack over waterfall and glacier ice are common traps for early season Ice Climbers. Consider an alternative route if overhead loading is possible.
Be careful with wind loaded pockets while approaching and climbing ice routes.Ski penetrations may be to ground in some areas due to weak and unconsolidated snowpack.
