Highlights
The General Avalanche Hazard remains MODERATE. The possibility continues for snowmobilers and skiers to trigger full depth avalanches in steep avalanche terrain involving a weak layer of faceted snow that persists at the base of the snowpack. This situation is problematic because the snow pack feels supportive yet may fail even after several riders have crossed the slope. Very new shallow soft surface slabs may also be triggered today on steep wind loaded slopes.
