Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is HIGH today. Continued strong southwest winds and new snow over the last several days have formed dense unstable slabs which lie upon light denisity snow. These slabs could release naturally and will be easily triggered by backcountry riders today and once triggered could pull out deeper layers of snow that lie on weak, faceted snow and crusts up to four feet in depth. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED TODAY. Many natural and easily triggered slabs have been reported over the last several days.
