Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE in steep wind loaded upper elevation slide paths. Soft slabs up to 18 inches in depth formed by southwest and westerly winds exist in upper elevation starting zones. These slabs lie upon slick old snow surfaces and are likely to be easily triggered. The general avalanche hazard is LOW in areas not underlain by hard old snow surfaces.
