Highlights
The General Avalanche Hazard is MODERATE today. A persistant weak layer of buried surface hoar and old snow surfaces from the January dry spell are a source of instability. These layers are problematic as some slopes could fail on appraoch while others fail after multiple crossings and others are stable. Riders or skiers could trigger slabs up to three feet in depth today on a variety of steep snow covered aspects at all elevations.
