Highlights
The General Avalanche Hazard is MODERATE in the morning and will increase to CONSIDERABLE in the afternoon. New snow and winds will create new soft slabs on leeward aspects. These slabs will increase in volume and become easier to trigger as the day progresses. Backcountry travelers could trigger new soft surface slabs and older hard slabs up to 3 feet in depth in steep wind loaded avalanche starting zones.
