Highlights

The General Avalanche Hazard is MODERATE. The potential continues for snowmobilers and skiers to trigger full depth avalanches upon a weak layer of snow at the base of the snowpack. These avalanches are hard to predict as the re-frozen snow surface will seem supportive and mask the weak snow that lies below. Unexpected but possible significant warming or rain will further weaken the snowpack and provide the possibility for wet slides.
