Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Dense slabs up to four feet in depth lie upon persistant weak layers of faceted snow. These slabs could be triggered on steep slopes and in cliff areas that are wind and snow loaded and if triggered are likely to have serious consequences. Skiers or riders may cross or high mark these unstable slabs multiple times before a weak spot is hit and they release.
