Highlights
The General Avalanche Hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. Recent strong west winds and snow have formed slabs that lie upon lighter snow, and buried weak faceted snow such as surface hoar. Soft slabs up two feet in depth are likely to be easily triggered in steep wind loaded avalanche terrain and not necesarily by the first rider on a slope.
