Wednesday will be partly cloudy in the morning with light snow developing in the afternoon or evening. Morning temperatures at 9,500 feet will be in the low teens then warm to the mid 20s. Winds will be southwesterly at 15 miles per hour.In the Tetons the avalanche hazard is expected to be HIGH Wednesday. Expected sunshine will result in loose sloughs on sunlit slopes. Any avalanches have the potential to rapidly gain dangerous volumes of snow.In the Southwest Trails/Greys River area the hazard is expected to be Considerable. Loose snow avalanches will be easily triggered on steep slopes that have smooth sun crusts below the new snow. Backcountry users could also trigger soft slabs to three feet in depth on steep, lee slopes.The Togwotee Pass area will have a hazard of Moderate. Slab avalanches one to two feet in depth could be human triggered on steep slopes especially below plateaus or ridge crests.
