Highlights

The general avalanche hazard at high elevations is MODERATE this morning increasing to CONSIDERABLE during the day. Soft slabs to 20" are building on steep, wind loading slopes at higher elevations. These slabs could be human triggered in areas where they lie over slick, early season snow on NW, North, NE and East aspects. Natural slides have been reported in various areas.The general avalanche hazard at low elevations is LOW. Avalanches are unlikey on slopes not underlain by old, hard snow.
