Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Two days of strong southwest to northwest winds have formed soft slabs up to two feet in depth in avalanche starting zones. These slabs lie upon slick crusts and weak layers of depth hoar and buried surface hoar. These slab avalanches could be easily triggered by riders or skiers who venture into avalanche prone terrain.
