On a variety of aspects and elevations, skiers and riders might be able to trigger persistent slabs from the previous storm cycle in very steep, avalanche prone terrain that was not affected by warm, inverted temperatures. These slabs were formed by strong southwesterly to westerly winds and could have depths to thirty inches at the higher elevations.
