Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. New snow and strong west winds have formed surface slabs up to two feet in depth on leeward slopes. These slabs lie on a variety of snow surfaces including crusts and surface hoar. These slabs are likely to be easily triggered by riders today on steep wind loaded aspects and once triggered have the potential to pull out deeper layers.
