Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE. Areas of unstable snow exist in steep wind loaded avalanche terrain where dense slabs to two feet in depth lie on an unstable faceted snow pack. Cold temperatures and settlement have increased the stability of this snow however these slabs could still be triggered especially by high marking riders. Once triggered these slabs could pull out deeper layers. The consequences of riding in avalanche prone terrain should be considered today.
