Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Dense slabs to two feet in depth lie at upper elevations on wind loaded slopes. These slabs could be triggered today by bilers, skiers, and boarders on steep slopes, particularly near cliff and rocky areas. High marking riders should be especially aware as steep slopes may release even after they have been crossed by numerous other riders. Self rescue skills and equipment are essential for safe travel in avalanche prone terrain.
