Cooling temperatures as we start into the week. Early season snowpack has shrunk considerably; TL depth, 30cm. Thin crevasse bridges, buried hazards, varied wind deposition, and cool autumn temperatures for the intrepid explorer this week.

Entering a period of cooling through the forecast area with some new precip expected early in the week.

Snowpack Summary

A 'snowpack' exists above 2000m. Variable snow depths from 30 to 80 cm in the Columbia Icefields region. Windslabs exists on NE aspects. Inconsistent structure to the snowpack based on aspect, and elevation require careful evaluation for cohesion at any interface, and new slab development.

Avalanche Summary

Windslab development in lee areas, and gully features are most concerning. No direct observations or reports.
