Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE. Unstable hard slabs up to six feet in depth exist on a variety of aspects. In the Togwotee Pass area on Angle Mountain one of these deep dangerous slabs was recently (Friday) triggered by a skier on approach. Similar events could be triggered in this area today by a single human on skis or a snowmachine. Conservative decisions and excellent terrain evaluation skills are essential for safe travel in avalanche terrain.
