Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is LOW today. New soft slabs will begin to form on a very slick old snow surface which exists above 9,000 feet. These new slabs will be easily triggered as these slabs increase in depth and volume. Avalanches are very unlikely in areas which do not have an old snow surface.
