Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is HIGH today. Strong winds and snow have formed slabs up to three feet in depth on wind loaded slopes and in cliff areas. These slaps lie on slick crusts and faceted snow and could easily be triggered on steeper slopes by skiers, snowmobilers, or boarders. At lower elevations slabs to two feet could be released on steep banks and in gullies. Travel in avalanche terrain is not recommended today.
