Cariboos, North Columbia, Blue River, Clearwater, McBride, Premier, Quesnel, Clemina, North Monashee, Renshaw, Robson.
Avalanche hazard is low with generally safe avalanche conditions.
Use normal caution, apply good travel habits, and reduce your exposure to cornice hazard when possible.
A few small, natural cornice falls were observed on Tuesday and Wednesday. These cornices fell in steep, unskiable terrain. No other avalanches have been reported in the past 5 days.
A crust, with surface hoar above it, extends up to at least 1600 m on all aspects and to mountain tops on solar aspects. On north aspects in the alpine, dry wind-affected snow may still be found.
Cornices are large and overhanging.
A crust/facet layer from mid-December is still found in the mid snowpack. Triggering this layer is unlikely, except with large loads or in thin snowpack areas.
