Sunday: Cloudy with sunny periods. Precipitation: Nil. Alpine temperature: High -3 °C. Ridge wind light to 25 km/h. Freezing level: 1800 metres. Monday: Sunny with cloudy periods. Precipitation: Nil. Alpine temperature: Low -6 °C, High -1 °C. Ridge wind west: 15-35 km/h. Freezing level: 2100 metres.
Expect a trace on a supportive melt-freeze crust on all aspects and elevations except for most high Northerly where it may be dry and powdery. The mid-pack is thick and supportive. Weak faceted crystals linger at the bottom of the snowpack and remain a concern particularly in shallow snow-packs or northerly alpine aspects.
No patrol occurred on Saturday and nothing new was reported. Avalanche activity has tapered off with good overnight freezing, cooler daytime temps and less solar input.
