Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. New, heavy snow has created surface slabs to two feet in depth in avalanche terrain. These slabs lie upon hard crusts, will be easily triggered on steep slopes and could pull out deeper layers of weak snow. The size and sensitivity of these slabs will increase in the day today as more snow is expected to fall.
