Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. New snow and strong winds have formed surface slabs to a foot in depth on leeward slopes. These slabs lie on a variety of snow surfaces including crusts and surface hoar. Pockets of these slabs could be triggered by riders today on wind loaded aspects and once triggered have the potential to pull out deeper layers of snow that lie on weak snow near the ground.
