Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is HIGH today. Above 8,500 feet new snow and strong winds will continue to increase the load on an unstable snowpack. Large natural avalanches are likely and could step down to deeper layers or the gound and run full track. Below 8,500 feet rain and warm temperatures have combined to create unstable conditions. Wet slab and wet loose avalanches are likely today in steep gullies and steep snow covered slopes. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED.
