Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. New snow and strong varying winds have deposited soft slabs to two feet in depth on steep leeward starting zones and cliff areas. These slabs lie on slick crusts and could be triggered today by snowmobilers and skiers. Once triggered, these avalanches could step down into deeper layers of weak faceted snow. Wind loaded areas, steep gullies and terrain traps should be avoided today.
