Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Pockets of slab to two feet in depth exist in steep wind loaded avalanche starting zones. These slabs lie upon slick crusts and weak layers of faceted snow. Riders or skiers who venture into avalanche prone terrain could trigger these slabs today. With new snow and strong winds in the forecast the hazard will increase as the day progresses.
