The General Avalanche Hazard is CONSIDERABLE. Dangerous slab avalanches to 4 feet in depth could be triggered by backcountry travellers mostly on northerly aspects. As the snowpack continues to stabilize after last week's storm larger triggers, like more than one rider on a slope at the same time or, the second or later skier or sled on a slope may cut a weak point and start an avalanche. Always travel one at a time whenever on a slope that could avalanche and do not sit below while others are above.

Dangerous slabs up to 4 feet in depth mostly on northerly aspects will continue to be susceptible to human triggers. With the sliding surfaces one to four feet deep it will become more difficult to initiate a slide and the second or later person on a slope may be the trigger by cutting just the right area that held the slab in place. Larger triggers like one or more snowmobiles or more than one skier at a time on a slope may initiate slides. ALWAYS avoid this situation and travel one at a time on suspect terrain. At Mid elevations the Hazard will be MODERATE. The Avalanche Hazard will remain LOW at Low elevations due to strong crusts and lack of snow.High pressure and clear skies will perpetuate strong valley inversions. 10,000 foot temperatures will rise into the twenties with light winds while the valley floors will be frigid after overnight lows of 15 below zero.
